Debra Glass Harris received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Telecommunications from Kutztown University in 1989. She interned with WCAU-TV in Philadelphia, (CBS at the time) and Capital Video Inc. in Washington, DC. After graduating with honors, Debra went on to work for Pottstown Community Television, a local station outside of Philadelphia, PA., as a producer and director of commercials and special programming. During her stay at PCTV, Debra wrote, directed, and shot over sixty-five commercials.

In 1991 she wrote, produced, directed, hosted, and edited a half hour series entitled Alternatives for a Changing World. This show was shot on location, and designed to explore and promote the services/products of individuals and organizations involved in alternative therapies and beliefs. Celestial Seasonings Tea Company, Rodale Research Center, and nationally recognized acupuncturists David and Ming Ming Molony are but a few examples of the guests and topics presented. This program aired in over 150,000 homes over four years, and at least three of these programs aired on a local station in San Francisco, CA.

Since 1993, Debra has been working as a freelance writer, videographer, and producer. She has worked with corporations such as UGI, GPU, National Penn Bank, and many others.

In 1999 Debra Produced and Directed The Chinese Acupressure Facelift video. This video is being distributed by Tapeworm Video Distributors located in California.

Debra is also an actress who has appeared in local and regional theatre. She has appeared in commercials and print in the Philadelphia area, and worked with the Community School of Music and the Arts located in Reading, PA., teaching commercial acting techniques.

Dance of the Butterfly is Debra’s first full length screenplay adaptation. She is currently working on an original screenplay entitled P.J.’s Reply.
